Lopez, Joyce

My ministry centers around empowering the blind and visually impaired community, especially in the Philippines, through discipleship, leadership development, and holistic support. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to lead youth camps, facilitate teacher trainings, mentor students, and support parents of children with visual impairments—helping them embrace the strength of their child’s God-given potential.

Even while now based in the U.S., I remain committed to this calling through online mentoring, Bible study sessions, spiritual devotionals, creative content, and resource development for individuals and families. I also support fellow leaders and blind professionals as they serve their communities and grow in faith.

This is more than just a ministry—it's a life deeply rooted in lived experience.

I was born with a visual impairment, but through that, God opened my eyes to a greater purpose. Growing up in the Philippines, I was surrounded by individuals who had the same disability, but not the same hope. That’s when the Lord began to stir in me a burden—not just to serve, but to walk alongside fellow blind individuals as a sister, teacher, and friend.

What started as a simple “yes” to volunteer work turned into a lifelong calling. And now, even across borders, I see how God is not limited by disability or distance. He continues to use this ministry to bring hope, healing, and deeper purpose to lives often overlooked.

As the Lord permits, I will continue:

  • Mentoring blind youth and young adults through discipleship and life skills support
  • Creating and sharing Bible-based digital content and devotionals
  • Organizing online gatherings and virtual workshops for spiritual growth
  • Collaborating with local and international partners for training and resource-sharing
  • Supporting missions efforts focused on inclusive education and accessibility
  • Assisting visually impaired leaders and families in nurturing their faith and confidence

Through it all, I walk in humility, trusting that each small act of service reflects God’s immeasurable grace and love. My prayer is that every blind person I serve may come to know that they are seen, known, and loved by the One who created them.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
