OMONDI, JARED and JOYCE

My name is Jared, a follower of Jesus from Kenya, and together with my wife, Joyce we have given our lives to serving God among Muslim communities and unreached people groups. For many years, God has allowed us to walk alongside communities in Northern Kenya where many people have had little or no opportunity to hear and understand the Gospel. In these places, I have discovered that missions is much more than travelling to another community and preaching—it is about loving people, building trust, listening to their stories, sharing their struggles, and walking with them until they discover hope and God’s purpose for their lives. Our deepest calling is to see people who have never had meaningful access to the Gospel become disciples of Jesus who make other disciples. We believe the greatest transformation happens when local people are equipped and empowered to reach their own families and communities. My wife Joyce has faithfully walked this journey with me, and our family has become part of our missionary testimony. We are blessed with four children: Faith Amani , who is currently volunteering and serving children; Mathew Adam and our two adopted children, Nehema and Derick who are both in high school. Through the joys, sacrifices, challenges, and responsibilities of ministry, our family continues to learn that following Christ is not simply something we preach—it is a life we choose to live.

At the heart of my ministry is a passion to raise integral disciples who raise more disciples among unreached communities. Through the Integral Disciple Making Movement (IDMM), we train and walk alongside ordinary people, helping them discover God’s Word, obey what they learn, share it with others, and form multiplying Discovery Groups within their own communities. We believe that God’s desire is to transform the whole person and the whole community. Therefore, we encourage healthy relationships with God, others, self, and the environment, so that spiritual transformation produces practical transformation in families and communities. Alongside disciple-making, we are involved in Healthy Business and community development, helping people develop practical skills for sustainable livelihoods, self-reliance, and responsible stewardship of the resources God has given them. Another growing passion of our ministry is investing in young people. Through our Youth Internship Programs, we bring young people from different parts of East Africa together for practical training in disciple-making, community outreach, healthy business, life skills, Christ-centered leadership, teamwork, cross-cultural ministry, and community service. Our prayer is that these young people will not simply complete a training program and return home, but will become missionaries in their own families, schools, workplaces, churches, and communities—young men and women who carry the love of Christ wherever God places them.

My vision is to see movements of multiplying integral disciples established among unreached people groups in Kenya and beyond—movements that are locally owned, sustainable, and able to continue multiplying from one generation to another. I dream of seeing healthy families raising healthy children, young people discovering their God-given purpose, communities overcoming hopelessness and division, local leaders taking responsibility for their communities, and ordinary people discovering that God can use their lives to bring extraordinary change. I do not want to build a ministry that depends on outsiders; I want to see local people equipped, empowered, and released to carry the mission themselves. I believe our generation has been entrusted with an opportunity to take the Gospel to places where Christ is still little known and to prepare the next generation to continue the work. There are still communities waiting to hear, families waiting to find hope, young people waiting to discover their purpose, and disciples waiting to be equipped to make disciples. I cannot reach them all alone. This calling requires a family, a church, partners, prayer warriors, and people willing to stand together for the advancement of God’s Kingdom. If God has placed a burden in your heart for the unreached, I invite you to join us—not simply as a supporter of a ministry, but as a partner in a movement that seeks to see lives, families, and entire communities transformed by the love of Christ. Together, we can take the Gospel further, raise disciples who raise disciples, and leave behind a movement that continues long after we are gone.
